So who are we? Meet the team!
Erica Julson, MS, RDN, CLT
Erica is a registered dietitian nutritionist, experienced freelance writer, and lover of science and learning.
She has a never ending passion for education, and gladly spends her evenings and weekends working on this blog!
When she’s not at the computer, she can be found in the kitchen with her boyfriend, rocking out to good music and cooking up a storm.
Amy Richter, MS, RDN, LD, CLT
Amy is a registered dietitian nutritionist and certified LEAP therapist.
Her passion is finding ways to communicate nutrition research in an interesting and easy-to-understand way.
She has an undying love for food, especially homemade almond butter, steamed asparagus, and fresh summer cherries.
Our Editorial Process
All content is created by registered dietitians who have Masters degrees in nutrition, completed at least 1,200 hours of supervised practice through an accredited internship program, and passed a national registration exam.
As dietitians, we also complete 75 hours of continuing education every 5 years to keep abreast of current topics and maintain our credentials.
Once an article is written, it is edited and fact-checked by our founder, Erica Julson, before publication. Erica has co-authored several research papers and wrote for the highly regarded website, Healthline.com, from 2017 to 2019.
Articles are reviewed and updated on an annual basis to account for new research and findings. All factual information included in the articles comes from peer-reviewed research articles. Any information based on professional experience is clearly specified as such.
